A1 French Level

Online French Student

You're About to Start in French!

Discover how rewarding it can be with our French course for beginners. Our approach begins with oral communication before moving to written exercises, allowing you to quickly engage in simple everyday conversations. For this initial level, there’s no need to purchase any materials; we’ll provide PDFs and educational resources for free to help you become acquainted with our instructors and methodology.

What Awaits You in This French Course for Beginners?

You’ll start by learning how to introduce yourself—covering details like your identity, age, profession, the languages you speak, and information about your family. You’ll talk about your work and living situations and learn to describe people physically. Through practical role-plays, you will master ordering in restaurants, shopping in apparel and footwear stores, and handling situations in hotels, train stations, and airports. Additionally, you’ll learn to describe your daily routines, search for housing or employment, and conduct brief professional interviews.

Is Grammar Necessary?

Many learners wish they could skip grammar, but it’s essential for true proficiency. However, we emphasize grammar only when it’s crucial, using it as a supportive tool rather than the main focus of your studies. Our extensive experience teaching French beginners from various linguistic backgrounds enables us to simplify complex ideas and tailor them to fit all learning styles.

A1 Level Description

Breakthrough: “Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where someone lives, people they know and things they have. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.”
