Immigration to France
To be able to submit your application for French naturalization, you’ll need to prove that you have the required level in French, which is equivalent to a B1 on the CEFR scale.
To do this, you’ll first need to pass either the TEF - IRN test (Test d'évaluation de français - Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité), the TCF - IRN test (Test de connaissance du français - Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité), or the DELF B1 exam.
You will also need to pass the naturalization interview to prove you are ready to become a French citizen. In the interview, you’ll have to answer some relatively personal questions followed by other general questions about French culture. To prepare for the French culture part of the interview, you will receive the Citizen’s Booklet available as an online PDF with the main information you’ll need to memorize.
To prepare for the language exam, we will tell you which resources to use for the comprehension test, and we’ll work closely with you on the speaking and writing during our classes. Once you pass the exam, we will prepare you specifically for the naturalization interview.
